Orsay Quilt  by Rae Woodrow

This quilt was designed for Linda Nicholson
of Orsay House in Islay.
she specifically wanted the view of Orsay Island
which she can see from her house.


As you can see the Lighthouse is the main feature of the quilt with the corners showing specific things connected with Islay.

On the island is also a ruined chapel dating back to the time of Saint Columba more famous for his home in Iona, and his ministry of bringing Christianity to Scotland.
